Tony Jaa's New Looks in Ong Bak 2
November 1st - We audience are going to witness remarkable change of Tony Jaa's warrior looks in the gigantic action movie of 2008 'Ong Bak
2'. His new looks from head to toes will be totally different from his old ones in 'Ong Bak 1' and 'Tom-Yum-Goong'. This is because Ong Bak
2 is a period movie depicting the origin story of 'Ong Bak' the scar-faced Buddha sculpture.
Tony Jaa on his transformation for this new role:
"In every set of Ong Bak 2 there is a change of my look such as costume design, hair style, and my character. Each time it takes at
least 2 hours for me to wear costumes and make-ups, so I have to wake up early to arrive at filming location on 5 A.M. and to have them finished by 7-8 A.M.
The color tones of every part of my body including fingernails, teeth, and long hair will be particularly set in encrusted black tones which is suitable for
being an ancient warrior. This is because my cast is a warrior who is talented in martial arts and capable of using several weapons, so he must look tough and
strong. Moreover, my dark skin is made up even darker because it is considered not dark enough. There are a lot of things happened with this cast of mine, so
there are changes in costumes to suit each situation in the story."
But what still remains is the good quality of Tony Jaa's styles of action, and it is even better!.
'Ong Bak 2' will be screened in Thai cinemas on this December 4th.
